A little about me…
Growing up the youngest of five sisters, I learned about teamwork, making connections, and navigating relationships at an early age. I always knew I wanted a career helping people.
After earning dual Bachelors of Art in Women’s Studies and Sociology, with a minor in African and African American Studies, from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University, I spent some time in the non-profit sector, then began my corporate career at Nestle USA. It was there that a supportive boss suggested my people skills would be a great fit for Human Resources. The people and one-on-one connections I made in the corporate world helped me find my place as I spent the next decade at Nestle growing my HR knowledge base. Providing support to employees from the entry level up to the CEO and Chairman.
The MeToo movement inspired me to branch out and start my own firm. To me, it highlighted the need for better HR to ensure employees and employers are protected in their workplace. Because a solid foundation of HR policies isn’t just about protecting your business. It lets your employees know you value them, leading to job satisfaction, and higher employee retention.
